Virtual reality – important to know
First thing is, in any technology or any artistic idea is why do you want to use, for example, VR to defend your artistic idea. Why is the frame work, using VR technology as a medium the right tool for you? Because it’s not the VR that is important. It’s a tool. Rather it’s  what can you do with it that you couldn’t do in the real world. Or it’s something that adds to your artistic practice so that you can augment your nuances. In a way that you could not do without it. So, the question is why. And then I think you need to like different kinds of people, to be interested to work in the frontier. In the meeting of different disciplines. For example VR has a lot of cinematographic practice it has the gaming part. So you, kind of ... it’s really interesting because you are really in a mix of different practices, and different ways of working. So, if you do this you need to have a curiosity towards other peoples work. And not think you are able to do their work. But to understand the basics of their practice. It’s really a collaboration. The differences of each person will make the project happen. And really using the strengths of each practice is really important. There is a financial part that we maybe not always want to think about I think that when you start in VR Today it’s really accessible to start with small cameras, but try first with basic things. Don’t put money on saying ok I want to take a GOP to do a film and you write whole scenario and then you don’t do any tryouts before. It’s really important to take your time to research this new medium because there’s a lot of people who says don’t do like this this or do like this. And so, ok listen do them but try it first. Try things and if you have tried it and say ok this isn’t working right then ok fine. But take the time to be a little bit ... Be sure of your ideas, don’t loose yourself in the process. of having so many opinions from other people saying no you can’t do this with the camera you can’t do that. You coming from a circus, theater or dance your point of view is very different. So, don’t forget where you are coming from. Listen to the people around you But don’t forget where you come from. To push your ideas forward.
